Retired 1960's Missile Base in Everglades

This retired Nuclear Missile site sat right in the middle of Everglades National park. It was heavily guarded and was put there to protect our country from a attack from Cuba in the bay of Pigs encounter in the early 1960's. Really an outstanding job of preserving this site. The volunteer that was stationed there actually ative duty there as a young man and really explained in detail how it all worked, back then it was top sercert.
