RANGELY AUTO MUSEUM - Incredible Car museum in the middle of nowhere

As I stated in our last update yesterday we have been staying in a small town on the Colorado, Utah border. It only has four restraunts and only one bar but it has one hell of a car museum! The owner Bud Striegel was born and raised here and started buying and fixing cars when he was 12 years old he is in his 70's now. The museum is just amazing, I have visited many auto museums in major cities and this one is nicer then most! His collection surpasses most of them, Many one of a kind muti million dollar autos.

THEM BONES - Dinosaur National Monument

Geni and I spent our final week before we go back to work in Rangely, Colorado. We really got to decompress here in this wonderful small town in the middle of nowhere. We camped in the City park and were the only people there! The town is so small the only bar in town is only open 3 days a week.
The town is only 30 miles from Dinosaur National Monument so we decided on a day trip there to explore the bones.
Dinosaur Park lies on the border of Utah and Colorado, half the park is in Co. and the half is in Ut.
We visited the Utah side because it had the Dinosaur Exhibit. The eastern side we were told is really remote and stunning.

They actually built the exhibit building around the dinosaur bones. When they were discovered in 1909 The Carnegie museum in Pittsburgh led an expedition to unearth a large portion of the fossils.
Many of our Dinosaur Exhibits in large metropolitan cities came from this find of fossils.

The canyons around Rangely and the Dinosaur park were full of ancient rock art that is 800-1000 years old! This area was inhabited by the Fremont Indians.

26th ANNUAL CLASSIC CAR SHOW - Moab

Geni and I took a break from hiking and decided to visit Moab's 26th Annual Classic car show. I was held in the large city park and was free. I was amazed at the condition of most of these vintage cars, a very dry climate here so no rust!

Lots of cool custom Rat rods too!

I owned one of these 57 Buicks at one time, they were heavy but very fast!

Look at that huge chrome grill
